The Northeast Disabled Athletic Association (NDAA) is proud to announce that our NDAA Adaptive Kayaking Program is the recipient of a 2019 Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Direct Effect Quality of Life Grant as part of the 2019 1st Cycle grants program, funded through a cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living.
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information, and advocacy. We meet all 20 of the Better Business Bureau’s standards for charity accountability and hold the BBB’s Charity Seal. The Paralysis Resource Center (PRC) is a program of the Reeve Foundation and is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Administration for Community Living. NDAA is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization located in Burlington, Vermont that provides athletes with physical disabilities the opportunity to pursue recreational and competitive athletics.
This marks the second time that NDAA has received this prestigious grant from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation. A 2006 grant enabled us to purchase a Martin 16 sailboat and launch Vermont’s first adaptive sailing program. out of the Moorings on Lakeshore drive in Colchester, VT.
