The 2020 edition of our annual power soccer tournament has been canceled due concerns surrounding coronavirus/COVID-19.
The Northeast Disabled Athletic Association made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Zach Stamatis Memorial Cup, due to a prohibition on large gatherings in response to the novel coronavirus/COVID-19. This would have been the 9th annual event. The facilities at the University of Vermont where the tournament would have been played have also been closed by the university.
NDAA and The Vermont Chargers have released the following statement:
“While we are disappointed that we will not be able to host this great event this year, we feel the reasoning is justified and everyone’s health comes first.
We want to thank all our supporters and the teams that were planning to come to the event for their patience and understanding during this complicated process. We look forward to seeing everyone next year when our tournament comes back better than ever!”
We would like to thank our sponsors and our friends in the community for their understanding.
